A clipboard history that stays on your PC

Copy something, then get it back later. PerchDeck keeps a searchable history of what you copy, right in the notch panel, and keeps all of it on your PC.

What it does

  • Records what you copy
Text, links, images and files copied in Explorer. Copy the same thing again and it moves back to the top instead of piling up as a duplicate.
  • Search, filter, pin
The search box looks in the first 50,000 characters of each clip. Filter by All, Text, Links, Images or Files. Clips are grouped Pinned, Today, Yesterday, Earlier this week and Older, and pinned clips stay put.
  • Click to copy it back
Click a card and it is copied again (“Copied – moved to top”). Hover for Pin, Delete (with an 8-second Undo) and a menu: Add to stack, Add to Shelf, Save as snippet, Add to to-do, Read in teleprompter.
  • Drag files and images straight out
Files and images can be dragged from the panel into other apps. Text and links are copied, not dragged.
  • Private by default
Copies from KeePass, KeePassXC, Bitwarden, 1Password, LastPass, Dashlane, NordPass, Enpass, RoboForm and Proton Pass are never recorded. Neither are copies that apps mark private with Windows' own opt-out. You can add any other program to the Never record list.

Good to know

Limits and defaults, stated plainly.

  • Keep clips for 7 days, 30 days (default), 90 days, 1 year or forever. History size is 100, 250, 500 (default), 1,000 or 2,500 clips.
  • Old clips are cleaned up when the app starts and every hour. Deleted data is overwritten with zeros in the database, so deleted means gone.
  • Text over about 200 MB and images over about 500 MB (or 250 million pixels) are skipped, never stored cut short.
  • There is no sync between PCs, no OCR on images and no on/off “pause recording” switch.
