On a Mac the notch is part of the screen. Windows PCs have no notch, so PerchDeck draws one: a small black pill at the edge of your screen that opens into a panel of everyday tools when you hover or click it.

## What is a notch app for Windows?
A notch app for Windows puts a small always-available control at the top or bottom edge of the screen. It shows what matters now, such as a clock, a timer ring or a reminder, and opens into a panel of tools. PerchDeck is one: 13 tools in one place, on Windows 10 and 11.

## How PerchDeck's notch works
Hover or click the notch and it opens. It stays on top of your other windows but lets the mouse through everywhere except the notch and the open panel. A panel opened by hover does not take keyboard focus, so it will not interrupt what you are typing. It slides away while a game or video is fullscreen, and you can drag it to another edge or another monitor.

## Who makes PerchDeck
PerchDeck is made and published by Mohammed Saleh Mulla, an independent developer. It is a one-person project, not a company product.

## Key facts
- Platform: Windows 10 (version 2004 or newer) and Windows 11, 64-bit (x64) only, installed from the Microsoft Store. Not built for 32-bit Windows; Arm processors are not supported (do not promise emulation, it is untested). No macOS or Linux version.
- Made by: Mohammed Saleh Mulla, an independent developer (a one-person project, no company).
- Version: 1.0.0
- What it is: a desktop app that draws a small black "notch" (a pill) at the edge of your screen. Hover or click it and it opens into a panel of 13 tools.
- Starts with Windows: yes. "Start with Windows" (Settings > General > Startup) turns itself on the first time the installed app runs, and can be switched off.
- Updates: free for license holders. New versions cost nothing extra (there is no built-in updater; install the newer version or get it through the Microsoft Store).
- License: a license key is required. Until one is activated, PerchDeck does nothing (no tools, no settings, no AI). There is no free trial.
- Activation: install, hover the notch, paste the key into "Activate PerchDeck", press Activate. It needs the internet once, then restarts unlocked.
- No account and no sign-in (just the license key). No telemetry, analytics or crash reporting. What the user creates (clips, notes, chats) stays on their PC.
- Internet use: activation (once), license re-confirmation (now and then while online; offline it keeps working for a limited time) and the optional AI model download. Do not state times for the re-confirmation. Do not say it "works offline" without that caveat.
- The optional AI model is a separate one-time download of about 1.82 GB.
- Price: $4.5 during the flash sale, normally $14.5. A one-time payment for a license key, with free updates, priced in US dollars; checkout shows your local currency. Plus local tax, added at checkout. 7-day refund guarantee.
