Terms of service
The rules for using PerchDeck and your license, in plain English.

About PerchDeck
PerchDeck is a Windows desktop app that puts a notch at the edge of your screen, with 13 everyday tools. These terms cover the app and this website (perchdeck.app).
Purchases are processed by Dodo Payments, the merchant of record. Its terms also apply at checkout.
Your license
You pay once and receive a license key by email. The key unlocks PerchDeck on the PCs you activate it on. There is no subscription and no free trial: until a key is activated, the app does nothing.
One key can be active on a limited number of PCs at the same time. To move it to another PC, open Settings > License on the old PC and press Deactivate, then activate on the new one. Reinstalling Windows without deactivating first keeps that PC's spot in use until it is freed.
Keep your key to yourself. Do not share it publicly, and do not try to remove, bypass or tamper with the license check.
Activation and license checks
Activation needs an internet connection once. After that PerchDeck checks your license now and then while you are online, and keeps working offline for a limited time. If it has been offline too long, it asks for a connection before it carries on.
The check sends only your license key, your PC's name and an activation id. See the privacy page for everything that is stored and sent.
Refunds
There is a 7-day money-back guarantee. See the refund policy for how to ask. When a refund goes through, your key is disabled.
Requirements
PerchDeck needs Windows 10 (version 2004 or newer) or Windows 11, and Microsoft's WebView2 runtime. Windows 11 includes it. It is not available for macOS or Linux.
Ask PerchDeck (the AI chat)
Ask PerchDeck runs a small AI model on your own PC. It is optional and needs a one-time download of about 1.82 GB. The model can make mistakes and can be wrong with confidence, so check anything important.
Third-party software
The AI chat uses Qwen3.5 by Alibaba (Apache 2.0) and llama.cpp (MIT). They remain under their own licenses.
Your data
What you copy, write and say stays on your PC. PerchDeck has no account and no telemetry. The privacy page lists exactly what is stored and the two things that go online.
No warranty
PerchDeck is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, it comes without warranties, and we are not liable for losses that result from using it, such as lost clipboard content or notes.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms, and the date at the top shows when they last changed. Using PerchDeck after a change means you accept the new version.
Use the contact details on this website.
